The Tear Out

NexGen Baths expert installers begin a 1-Day tub to shower transformation with a 7:30 a.m. arrival. After a project review with the homeowner, the team begins to cover the path from the front entrance all the way to your bathroom with drop cloths. Next, all necessary tools and supplies are setup before turning off the water and securing your bathroom area for the tear out. Once the fixtures, tub and shower are removed the preparation stage begins.

Preparation Stage

Now there is clear view of the plumbing and frame work in place. The NexGen team determines what changes need to be made for the new shower and fixtures. This includes examining water supply lines, shower valves, drain lines, and any necessary supports and backing. Once everything is set, the subfloor/foundation for the shower is prepared and leveled.  

Installing the Onyx Base

The Onyx Collection shower base and drain are next in the installation process. The base is a non-porous material, which means that it doesn't absorb water and is resistant to mildew and mold. Bench and Accessory Installation

Your shower transformation is really starting to come together at this point. The NexGen team installs your selected accessories such as a bench or seat, trim pieces, caddies, a shaving ledge and grab bars. These elements enable you to customize the shower to your personal needs.

Shower Head Installation

We're almost there. The last few touches to your beautiful shower transformation. We'll install your selected shower head, hand shower or combination system -- whichever you prefer.
